“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”

Home Beauty Pampering Session
“We need to replace the vicious stress cycle with a vicious cycle of self-care.” Sara Gottfried
If you want to get some beauty pampering, you don’t have to spend a fortune on a trip to SPA. Instead, get some luxury self-pampering in the comfort of your own home!
Start with running a nice warm bubble bath, put some music on, read a book or a magazine, and relax. Then use some good quality natural products to pamper your body and hair.
You could use homemade beauty products in your pampering session. They are easy to make and you know exactly what’s in them.
Alternatively, use your favorite store-bought beauty products that you have at home.
In terms of m favorite hair products, I have very fine and delicate hair and I use only natural shampoos that are silicone-free. They make my hair stronger and fuller, as well as keeping it fresh and clean for much longer.
When it comes to facial care, I really love using products containing active charcoal such as Dr Organic Charcoal Face Scrub from Holland and Barret, it’s very gentle but effective.
I think active charcoal is a miracle ingredient as it does really work and it has been used in so many products recently, from facial care to tooth whitening!
I also love using sheet masks and my favorite is ORGAID Antiaging & Moisturizing Organic Mask.
“It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.” Mandy Hals
I am really NOT into exercise and I usually have to force myself to do it. The only exception is yoga.
There are numerous health benefits of yoga such as building muscle strength, protecting your spine, increasing your blood flow, boosting your immunity, increasing your heart rate, dropping your blood pressure, and releasing tension in your limbs.
It also reduces stress, helps you relax, sleep deeper, and focus. But most importantly – it’s really pleasant and enjoyable for both body and mind.
Even if a number one gym hater like me actually enjoys yoga, it must be good!
There are so many different types of yoga to choose from and with an abundance of free yoga videos available online, you don’t even have to go to classes. It’s a great way of pampering your body and mind and I really recommend it to anyone.
“I have come to believe that caring for myself is not self-indulgent. Caring for myself is an act of survival.” Audre Lorde
If you haven’t got anything specific planned, allow yourself to sleep in at the weekend. Don’t set the alarm and let your body get as much sleep as it needs.
I am aware of theories that sleeping in at the weekend is not good for you however I have never really believed it.
I am not a morning person and after the pure torture of getting up early during the week, I cannot imagine giving up my weekend lie-ins.
I was not surprised when I found out about the new research suggesting that hitting snooze on Saturday morning might actually be a good thing! You can read about it here.
Sleep is completely free, doesn’t even require any effort, and yet it’s the most powerful way we have to replenish and recharge!
“Caring for your body, mind, and spirit is your greatest and grandest responsibility. It’s about listening to the needs of your soul and then honoring them.” Kristi Ling
I don’t think there is anything more relaxing in this world than a good massage! It releases tensions and helps both your body and mind relax.
There are so many different types of massages to choose from: Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Thai Massage…
Whilst they are all great, you don’t really need to pay for an expensive massage with a fancy name to feel relaxed. There are plenty of simple massage tutorials online so you can ask your other half or a family member to give you a nice relaxing massage at home.
“Nourishing yourself in a way that helps you blossom in the direction you want to go is attainable, and you are worth the effort.” Deborah Day
Go for a long nice walk in the countryside where you can be close to nature and watch it blossoming right in front of your eyes. It will let you escape the hustle and bustle of everyday city life and truly relax.
Try some local organic food, breathe in the fresh air, listen to the hypnotizing sounds of nature, and observe its magnificent color palette which inspired brilliant artists like Monet to create their masterpieces.
I hope I have inspired you to give yourself some love with these 5 free self-pampering ideas for spring.
