Happy Wednesday everyone, hope your week is going marvellous!
Christmas gift guide coming soon
As we are slowly approaching December, the majority of fashion blogs are filling up with Christmas gift guides. Fear not as I am also preparing my own Christmas gift guide for you. If you don’t want to miss it, you should follow me on Bloglovin:
or sign up to my weekly Newsletter (the sign up form can be found on the top of the right sidebar, under the social media icons). In the meantime why don’t you visit the BOUTIQUE section of my blog where you can find some fabulous pieces like a silk eye mask, the latest technology supersonic hair dryer or a candle that creates the soothing sounds of a crackling fire and smells of baby powder.
I have a big family and we all spend Christmas together. Because the family is getting bigger every year due to weddings and new arrivals, it has been more and more difficult and expensive to buy Christmas presents for everyone. We have therefore come up with a draw system, similar to “secret Santa” – everyone draws a name and they buy a gift for this person only and for the agreed amount. That way everyone gets one slightly more expensive present instead of several cheaper presents. This rule doesn’t really apply to the children as they still get presents from everyone! Last year something also went wrong as some people, including me, received more than one present! I wasn’t complaining though! 🙂 I am still a little kid when it comes to Christmas and I don’t think this will ever change!
My smart casual look
I am a big fan of distressed denim, my wardrobe is full of jeans and denim jackets with some sort of rips and holes in them. I couldn’t resist this midi skirt with frayed hem, it was love at first sight! The rest of the outfit is quite smart, if you have been visiting my blog for some time you know that I love creating unusual combinations of styles. There are many interpretations of “smart casual” but it usually means neat, conventional, yet relatively informal in style. My look today is my own take on it as it combines very smart with very casual. Let’s be honest, I wouldn’t wear this skirt to the office! I paired this denim midi skirt with a classic black double breasted blazer which has a very interesting deep v-neck. In terms of accessories, I wore my immortal cat eye sunglasses, red kitten heels (red is the hottest colour of this season) and the floral embroidery detail bag which was previously featured in TORTOISESHELL BUCKLE CHECK TROUSERS.
Hope you like this look, let me know in the comments below!
Have a great rest of the week!
